Kelly Ross
Kelly has a full time career in corporate aviation. His love of flying has him working with students before or after his work schedule. He soloed 1983 and has acquired private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine and airlines transport ratings. He received his certified flight instructor rating in 1985, multi-engine flight instructor certification in 1986 and certified flight instructor instrument in 1987. Kelly has flown a variety of planes from single engine aircraft like Cherokees & Bonanzas, multi-engine piston (Baron, Cessna 300 & 400 series), turbo props (King Air 90’s & 200’s) and corporate jets (Beechjet 400 and Citation 500 series) to name a few. In this amount of time Kelly has accumulated over 12,000 hours of flight time with approximately 1,800 hours as a flight instructor. Kelly comes from a long list of aviators. His dad, who is retired now, flew corporate aircraft. He also has two brothers and two nephews who fly corporate aircraft, and has as a nephew who flies part 135 charter. Aviation has been and will continue to be part of his life. Kelly loves being a pilot and instructor and looks forward to extending his knowledge and ability for the future of aviation. | Russel Golden Russ grew up in Sidney, Iowa and began his career in aviation in 1979. For many years he was flown as a 135 charter, passenger and freight pilot. His love of flying has taken him into the corporate world for which he has been a contract pilot for the past three years. He comes to Sioux City with 25+ years of experience as a pilot and flight instructor. Russ has flown over 10,000 flight hours with a CFI, CFII, and MEI. Jon Gilbert
Jon is a certified flight instructor with a commercial, multi-engine, single-engine and rotary wing instrument certificate. He started his aviation career in the Marine Corps as a crew chief on Boeing CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters. He then transferred to the Army National Guard and attended Army Helicopter Flight School. Jon has been flying UH-60 Sikorsky Blackhawk helicopters for the past 7 years. He has completed overseas aviation deployments flying in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Mediterranean Sea.
Jon has been working in the aviation field for over 15 years as a pilot and mechanic. With the unique experience of being both airplane and helicopter certified, Jon is excited to pass on his aviation knowledge and experience to anyone wishing to learn how to fly. Jon lives in Sioux City with his wife and Son.
